I’ve been helping out with the launch of the Bad Brains Official Store, building the store pages and other promotional materials. Can’t take too much credit for the store design, as it had to be in line with the current Bad Brains site designed by Suldi at Souldanger.

Since the current Bad Brains site is in frames, one of the challenges was getting it to look good both appearing in the content frame of that site as well as on it’s own, as it can also be accessed at www.badbrainsofficialstore.com. This is my first time really playing around with CSS layouts as well.

The lovely folks at Dead Herring asked me to make another flyer for an upcoming show. I was originally going to lay off the Photoshop/Illustrator and sketch & color this one out, but was extremely pressed for time. I only really got to sketch out the rat and resorted to fonts etc. for the rest. Not particularly the best thing I’ve done, but it had potential.

Another record jacket design for ROIR. This is the second volume of the two volume set; I had already adapted the jacket for the first volume from the original cassette cover art so not much had to be done to create the cover for the second volume.

As an extremely delayed follow up to my previous post, here are a few photos from one of the two Univox Lying Fuck 7″ record release parties. I didn’t manage to get any shots in at the Death by Audio show I posted about, however I got some good “artsy” (i.e. blurry yet kinda cool) photos from their Philly show at National Mechanics a few nights before. The band were really on point that night, and in my opinion, outshone Jemina Pearl (ex-Be Your Own Pet), who they opened for.

Also kudos go out to Bad Cop from Nashville who really won me over with their awesome live show.

This one is for Univox’s upcoming record release party in Brooklyn. The original photo is of ROIR’s founder, Neil Cooper, with his sleep apnea machine on. Univox is one of the more fun bands to design stuff for since they don’t already have a set image or logo and their aesthetic is closer to mine. Yeah, I know I have to challenge myself more.
